A daily drawing game for iPhone

The same squiggle.
Everyone.
Every day.

One wiggly line, the same one for everybody on earth, every single day. Same five colours, same brush, same canvas. The only thing that changes is what you see in it.

Still being built. Coming to iPhone.

Today's squiggle: a single orange line wandering across a blank canvas

The whole idea

One line. Nobody draws the same thing.

Four people, one squiggle, same morning. None of them saw the others first.

Ridgeline
Cat, curled
Something surfacing
Birds, waiting

These four are ours, not other people's. Wriggled isn't out yet, so there's nobody else's to show you. Give it a minute.

How a day works

Fixed schedule. Random line.

The timing never surprises you. The squiggle always does.

First

The line arrives

At midnight UTC, the same moment everywhere on earth, a new squiggle turns up on your canvas along with the day's five colours. It's the exact same line everybody else just got.

Then

You draw

One brush that goes fat when you draw slowly and thin when you draw fast. An eraser. No zoom, no pan, no layers. Fewer choices, better drawings.

After that

Then the world opens

Hit submit and the gallery opens up. Ghost mode fades the original line over anyone's drawing, so you can see exactly what they did with the bit you both started from.

The rule everything else hangs off

You draw first, or you see nothing.

Everyone else's drawing stays sealed until you submit yours. Not to be precious about it. It's just that the second you see someone else's answer, it stops being your answer.

Nothing to scroll before you start. No most-liked drawing setting the tone for the day. No nagging feeling, when you finally put the pen down, that you were half copying somebody. You get the line cold, same as everyone, and you find out afterwards what the rest of the world saw in it.

What's in it

Small game. Built properly.

Ghost mode

Fade the day's squiggle over anyone's drawing. The fun bit is spotting which strokes they were handed and which ones they chose.

Timelapse replay

Drawings are saved as the actual strokes you made, not a flat picture. So any of them can redraw itself, first mark to last.

Your archive, kept

Everything you've ever drawn stays in your archive, free, forever, whether you pay or not. Your own work never goes behind a wall.

Streaks and wriggle-outs

A streak for turning up. Every seven days in a row earns a wriggle-out, which covers one missed day, and you can hold three. A game that punishes one missed evening isn't a habit, it's a chore.

Widgets

Home and lock screen widgets with the day's squiggle sitting on them, so it's waiting for you instead of nagging you.

One notification. Predictable.

One a day, at a time you can count on. No re-engagement pings, no fake urgency, no random timing designed to catch you out.

Wriggled+

Pays for the archive. Never for an advantage.

Playing, being seen and sharing are free forever. The subscription gets you better tools for your own old drawings, and nothing at all that touches the daily.

What it never buys

The daily is the same for everyone: same squiggle, same five colours, same brush, same canvas. Wriggled+ doesn't change your line, your colours, how visible your drawing is, or how much your heart counts. Influence comes from turning up or from being good, never from paying. And there are no ads, at any scale, ever.
